Haunted Stream & Nicholson River Explore
(Weekend Trip)

Our trip officially starts at Friday Night at Deptford campground, ready for an early start on Saturday morning.

We will explore alongside the Nicholson River & into the Bullung-Warl State Forest before heading towards Dargo if time permits a quick refreshment at the iconic Dargo pub, before bush camping alongside the Dargo River.

Sunday, we head across to Seldom Seen,Dawson city, Dogtown and down the haunted stream which has multiple river crossing, and finishing up at Tambo Crossing.

Huts, Huts & more Huts around Mt Stirling

Meeting up nice and early near Mansfield for a day of exploring the many huts up around Mt Stirling, including the famous Craig's Hut.

A faster paced trip run by experienced mad hutters who wish to take you on an adventure to those elusive hidden huts you may not have seen before.... Let's have some fun!

Clean Up Australia Day at Point Henry

Join us for the annual "Clean Up Australia Day". This year it is at Point Henry. A great day trip for new members.

City Of Greater Geelong (COGG) is happy for us to do a Clean Up at Point Henry, they'll provide a skip, and a safety briefing.

We'll have a BBQ on the beach afterwards.

East Gippy Adventure
(Mid Week Trip)

Sun 25 February - Sat 2 March, 2024

Bruthen to Marlo. The trip has difficult driving sections which including clay, steep heavily rutted tracks and numerous water crossings.

Departing Bruthen Monday 9am we will head for Swifts Creek via the numerous water crossings of the Haunted Stream Track.

Continuing North, highlights will include Mt Gibbo, Mt Pinnibar and the Murray River at Tom Groggin.

From here we head south taking in Davies Plain, Cobberas Range, McKillop’s Bridge and Mt Tingaringy.

The trip will end in Marlo 4.5 hours east of Melbourne.

Wombat Cuddles & Working Bee
(Day Activity)

This is a combined 4X4 club activity with TLCCV and MJOC.
Working to assist the Narbeview Wombat Shelter with its Annual Maintenance tasks.

These include

• Some clearing after recent storms
• Cleaning out the wombat shelters
• Assistance with flooring for the new rooms
• Clearing tracks and grass cutting at the wombat release site

Bring own drinks and morning and afternoon tea to share.  Also: gloves, masks, shovels, mattock, brushcutters, chainsaws & PPE (if you have a chainsaw license)

This is important assistance to Shelley and Rod in keeping there shelter running.  There will be time for animal feeding and cuddles during the weekend

Anglesea Ladies Drive

Ladies, start your engines.

Meeting at Bellbrae Recreation Reserve before heading into the Otway NP near Anglesea and winding our way south along the tracks and trails of the Otway Ranges.

Bring your lunch, drinks etc. We aim to be back at the starting point by 4.30pm.

Gentlemen guests and passengers are welcome, but the girls will be behind the wheel.

Anglesea Heathland Track Recce
(Day Trip)

This will be a day trip of around 5 or 6 hours checking the tracks and finalising the route for the Anglesea Ladies Drive which is on the following weekend.

Meeting point is Bellbrae Recreation Reserve.
We'll head into the Heathland behind Anglesea and work our way south into the Otway Ranges.

We will be timing tracks for the following weekend.

We will meet on Thursday at Licola Caravan Park.
Friday and Saturday nights will be remote river camping.

King Valley Australia Day Weekend
(Extended Weekend Trip)

We will be going to the hotel on Saturday night for dinner for those who wish to join in.

We will be exploring tracks in the area, points of interest crossing rivers
and also visiting Lake William Hovell.

Trip to Bluff a Billy Goat
(Mid Week Trip)

Leave the TLCCV Yarck property at 9:00am on Monday.

Head into the Wonangatta valley via Mansfield, King Billy track and Zeka Spur.

Camp overnight.

Head up to Billy Goat Bluff next day and back down to Dargo.

Take a look at Tallarook
(Mid Week Trip)

Meet up at Kalkallo and travel up to Broadford and enter the Tallarook State Park.

Check out the tracks that range from easy to very difficult.

I don't intend to tackle Phone track but would like to try out some of the harder ones up there.

Wally's Wonderings in Toolangi
(Day Trip)

 This trip is a reece for future trips exploring the Toolangi State Forest beginning in Yea.

It is a day trip and the adventure will take off from Limestone Road. We will then make our way down to Murrundindi.

As time permits we will stop and take in any sites as we discover them such as waterfalls, mountain peaks/ranges etc.

From Murrindindi we will decide whether to go towards Rubicon or down to Toolangi.

As it’s an exploratory trip you will need to be prepared for any conditions and challenges.
