TLC - Wyperfeld - Vic/SA Border Track!

With mild weather expected over the Easter break, our convoy headed west to the sleepy town of Rainbow, some 450kms NW of Melbourne.

After a pleasant night at the caravan park, we headed north to experience the sandy tracks around the dry Lake Albacutya. The dry lake bed is home to hundreds of kangaroos and many varieties of birds.

With sand our desire this weekend, we headed NW thru the Wyperfeld NP. The highlight of this part of the park was the sand sunes at White Springs.

After the Easter Bunny arrived early on Sunday morning, the convoy experienced parts of the Big Desert wilderness before heading to the Vic/SA Border Track on Monday morning.

With the sun drying out the sand, the The Border Track became a challenge for some drivers as low tyre pressures were needed to get our vehicles over the soft dunes.

Another great weekend 4WDing.
