Avon Macalister Rivers Run - April 2010  - 6 vehicles joined Laurie & Heidi to explore the Avon, Macalister & Aberfeldy Rivers. With a wet weekend expected, we headed north from Huggetts Lane (NE of Heyfield) following the Avon River, before crossing the Ben Cruachan creek man times. After taking in the sensational views from McMillans Lookout, we continued on to the mighty Macalister River. With rain overnight, the river was in a rapid flow. Our final adventure was to head for the Aberfeldy River. With muddy tracks, we spent over 3 hours snatching the convoy up Toomstar Track. After a visit to O'Tooles Flat, it was time to head home after some great 4WDing along the Aberfeldy River.
