Winter Wombat Run - Let's see what happens!

All the gear and no idea? We'll be exploring the Wombat State Forest on medium-friendly tracks.
While some sections might look challenging, we'll always take the easier options available. This isn't about pushing your vehicle to its limits or seeing how deep you can get stuck in mud – it's about building confidence and having fun.
Pack your morning tea and lunch for the day ahead.
What to expect:
Easy to medium forest tracks, and a relaxed, no-pressure environment.
Come ready to explore,and enjoy a great day out in the bush!

West Gippsland Wanderer
(Day Trip)

This is a one-day trip for beginners starting at Erica in West Gippsland. The trip will travel to Rawson and then to the Thompson Dam where will cross the Thompson River below the dam and traverse the Beardsmore Track up to the Walhalla Aberfeldy Rd.
Then across to the CMF Track across the Trig Track and across the Aberfeldy River onto the NE Track and onto the Dream Creek Track across the Aberfeldy River again and on up to the Aberfeldy Rd then back to the Thompson Dam wall where we air up and the trip ends.

SA Outback Adventures- including Googs Track

Join us for a road trip to Googs Track and SA adventure locations. We will do 2-3 days of sand dune driving on Googs.
The trip will conclude at Overland Corner SA.

Trekking Mt Terrible
(Day Trip)

Come join a day of 4WDing Mt Terrible.
We will meet at the Yarck pub and make our way to Thornton via Alexandra where a last fill up can be made before we drive to Horseshoe Bend Campsite where we will air down and then head onto Enoch's Point for morning tea, before heading up to Mt Terrible Hut for lunch and come out at Eildon-Jamieson Rd and Mt Terrible Track.
We will head back to Thornton and head back home our separate ways from there.

Anglesea Heathland - by day & by night
(Day Trip)
Sat 10 May, 2025
We will meet up in Anglesea in the afternoon and head out and explore some tracks in daylight before returning to the Anglesea Riverbank Reserve for a BBQ around 5pm (or inside at a local restaurant if the weather is really against us).
After the meal we will head back out to see how the tracks look in the dark.
We should finish the trip back in Anglesea by 9pm.

Bunyip in a Day
(Day Trip)

Come join us for a low range day of 4WD’ing in Bunyip State Park only 65km east of Melbourne.
The park is a diverse ecosystem ranging from swamps to towering mountain ash forests with many a view of Westernport Bay and the Gippsland to absorb. If you are not yet ready for the overnighters and not going away for the Anzac day weekend then this is for you.
We will make our way into the park via Labertouche to complete the Gentle Annie Loop (43 km) followed by the Blue Range Loop with a BYO lunch slotted somewhere in between. We might even find time for the short walk to Lawsons Falls to give the legs a stretch.
The tracks suit varying levels of experience and skill. Most tracks have been classified to indicate their degree of difficulty with plenty of options should you not feel confident to meet up at a later stage.

Danggali & Flinders Ranges
(Outback SA Trip)

This will be an ANZAC week outback trip - be prepared for long days and bush camping.
Day 1 - Melbourne to Wentworth – 600km - Bush camp on the Murray
Day 2 - Explore the Danggali Wilderness and the Chowwilla Reserve - 280km -bush camp at Canopus
Day 3 - Explore Oakbank Outstation, Yanta - 400km - bush camp at Mount Chambers Gorge
Day 4 - Walk Mount Chambers Gorge and Explore the Great Wall of China - camp Wilpena Pound
Day 5 - Free rest day - Camp Wilpena Pound
Day 6 - Explore the Skytreck Track – 7 Hours - camp Wilpena Pound
Day 7 - Explore Bunyerroo and Yanyanna - camp Wilpena Pound

Anzac Weekend in the Big Desert
(Weekend Trip)
Thu 24 - Sun 27 April, 2025
Join us for some sand driving and hill climbs in the Big Desert in western Victoria.
Base camping at Murrayville (6 hours from the Westgate bridge), vans or trailers are welcome.
We will be driving in the eastern side of the Big Desert Wilderness Area on Friday (Anzac Day) with an option to tackle the Big Dune.
On Saturday we will travel around the western side where we found some very soft sand last year.

Craigs Hut & Howqua River
(Weekend Trip)
Sat 12 - Sun 13 April, 2025
We will drive to Mirimbah, where we will air down and leave the sealed road travelling up to Craig's Hut (a prop built for the movie 'The Man from Snowy River') for lunch.
We will then visit Bindaree Falls and onto Bindaree hut or Pikes Flat on the Howqua River to camp.
On Sunday we will head up to Bluff Hut, and then onto Mansfield Via, Brocks Rd, Sheepyard Flat & Steiners Rd, taking in the sights along the way, and ending back in Mansfield.

Dinner and Sunset at the magical Man from Snowy Rivers Craig's Hut followed by a night drive on some iconic mountain tracks and an optional campout under the stars.

Strathbogie 4 Peaks
(Weekend Trip)
Sat 15 - Sun 16 March, 2025
Our Trip will start at Lake Nillahcootie, where we will head towards Golden view drop visit a few gold mining areas if time permits, an old hippy camp & ending up at Wild Dog Lookout (an old Ned Kelly hang out) which will be our camp for the night.
From here we will head towards Lima falls, cross rocky Ned & Climb the mighty Mt Buggery to take in the views before heading for home.

Nicholson River & Haunted Stream
(Weekend Trip)
Sat 15 - Sun 16 March, 2025
We will be exploring the Nicholson River (which can get quite overgrown - expect some pin striping) & eventually arriving at Dargo.
We plan to stop at the iconic Dargo pub before bush camping alongside the Dargo River.
Sunday we will head across to Seldom Seen, and down the haunted stream track through Dawson City & Dogtown. The Haunted Stream Track has 54 river crossings through picturesque country, finishing up at Tambo Crossing.
We will arrive at Bruthen (possibly late) Sunday afternoon where the trip will officially end.

South West Ramble
(Mid Week Trip)
Wed 12 - Fri 14 March, 2025
Meeting near Torquay, we'll head into the NP near Anglesea and head south towards Forrest and check out some tracks and maybe a waterfall before setting up camp.
On Thursday we'll head south west through Gellibrand, Carlisle State Park and finish up near the Great Ocean Rd.
Friday will be a sightseeing day, taking in Princetown, the 12 Apostles and Port Campbell.

The Bluff & King Billy
(Weekend Trip)

This is a reconnaissance trip - arrive in your own time Friday night - departing base camp each day at 8.30am
Along the way we will try and see:
- Howqua Hills and valley
- Timbertop Saddle
- Frys Hut
- Howqua River
- The Long Spur
- Bluff Hut – one of the highest in all Australia
- Lovicks Hut - Toilet available
- King Billy Tree
- And maybe the Jamieson Valley
The route and tracks might change depending upon the weather and track conditions.

"One Dream One Team" Trip Leaders Trip

We meet on Friday night at the Licola Caravan Park for happy hour if possible. It is daylight saving so that this should be achievable. On Saturday we will be heading out up the butcher country track and down Zeka spur track, find a campsite, set up and settle down hopefully for a evening of chat around the campfire. BBQ tea or whatever you fancy.e will be travelling from Narbethong to Marysville or the opposite.

Anglesea Ladies Drive
(Day Trip)

Ladies, start your engines.
Meeting at Bellbrae Recreation Reserve before heading into the Otway NP near Anglesea and winding our way south along the tracks and trails of the Otway Ranges.
Bring your lunch, drinks etc. We aim to be back at the starting point by 4.30pm.
Gentlemen guests and passengers are welcome, but the girls will be behind the wheel.

King Valley - Wine, Dine & Drive
(Weekend Trip)
Fri 14 - Sun 16 February, 2025
On this trip, we will be base camping at Gentle Annies Caravan Park in Whitfield. Friday night, we will be having dinner at the Mountain View Hotel at about 6:00 pm.
On Saturday, we will be taking on the tracks around Lake William Hovel. Some tracks vary from easy to difficult, depending on conditions.
Places we will visit over the weekend include Paradise Falls, Lake Cobbler, King Hut and Powers Lookout. After a morning drive on Sunday, we will head off to Gracebrook winery for great local wine and produce for lunch.
The trip will conclude Sunday after the winery lunch.

Avon River, Mt Wellington, Butcher Country

From Huggetts Crossing we will make our way to the Avon Valley and then proceed up the Moraka Rd to Moroka Hut and onto Horseyard Flat for the night.
The next day we will visit Mount Wellington before heading down Butcher Country track to camp on the Maccalister River.
We will return to Licola via the Maccalister River and Black Soil Track
